The International Master in European Studies
Designed for those who wish to study, understand and experience Europe, the International Master in European Studies is a postgraduate programme which provides students with a professional knowledge of the European dimension at the institutional, policy and funding levels. The Master's programme gives its participants a solid background regarding the EU planning procedures for becoming a policy advisor and project consultant.

The Belgian- Italian Chamber of Commerce:
Created in 1950, the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce is a Belgian non-profit private association, recognized by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development, which offers a range of services for the support of entrepreneurs and business relationships.

Institute
of
European Studies
of the UCL was created in 1967 and carries on a wide range of activities in the field of education, research and services to the civil society. Among its professors, it counts experts and academics from all over the world.
Programme:
The International Master in European Studies is a postgraduate programme which provides students with a professional knowledge of the European dimension at the institutional, policy and funding levels.
Section 1 - The European construction and policies
This section provides students with a broad and comprehensive understanding of the European construction, from the historical, juridical and economic point of view.
Section 2 - Design and management of EU projects
It focuses on the mechanisms, tools and criteria for designing and managing successful EU-funded projects and tenders. The student learns, with the support of case studies and interactive workshops, through a learning-by-doing approach.
Section 3 - Meetings with European experts
It includes on-site seminars held at the European Institutions and meetings with project managers, advisors and lobbyists who work in
Brussels
in different fields.
The extra value offered
This intensive Master is organized in a 3-month schedule, enabling students to gain specific competences and skills in a short period of time. The Master teaching methodology is a practice-oriented approach, which aims at transferring knowledge through a learning-by-doing process. About 30 students from different countries and diverse educational backgrounds will attend the Master; therefore, it is a multi-cultural learning experience that will also enrich the personal abilities to work in a European context. Only in the Capital of Europe one can really breathe the EU atmosphere and be able to catch every single opportunity in the field of European affairs! Being this Master Brussels-based, students will be able to start building their own European network of contacts.
The Job link service
During the Master course, a job link module is organized in order to help the participants in their search for traineeship and employment position, through different activities:
Class session: the advice of an expert will help the students to adjust their CVs and Cover letters, as well as to use the right techniques while approaching the EU affairs job market.
Individual tutoring: individual meetings are scheduled for the students to receive personalised advice related to their profiles, as well as contact lists for self-pre
sent
ations.
Meeting with experts: during the Master students frequently meet European experts, officials, advisors and lobbyists working on the
Brussels
arena. They are thus rapidly able to build contacts with a view to post-Master career prospects.
Internship support office: during and after the course, the European Desk of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce proposes various traineeship and job opportunities in
Brussels
. The trainee and the host organisation are supported by Internship support office in the redaction of the traineeship agreement.
CV Book: the Master's participants profiles are published in the CV book that is
sent
to hundreds of European organisations, companies and associations in
Brussels
and throughout
Europe
. The CV book is an effective tools which allows the employers to select the most suitable candidates for their company or organization and to find skilled policy advisors and project consultants.
The 15th edition of the Master will take place in Brussels from 16th April to 13th July 2012. Registration to the 15th edition are now open and will last until 13th February 2012.
