Biotechnology in Catalonia
According to the report of the Asebio employer's association, Catalonia contributed in the 2007 a 35% of the total investment in this sector in Spain, as well as 27% of the 75 new companies created last year are based in Catalonia. Biotechnology has experimented a great development in the last decade, and Barcelona has strong potentials in this highly strategic sector, as an important presence of pharmaceutical companies, a network of hospitals and research parks....
