We seek a candidate to be employed as a PhD student for the experimental development of a research project based on the development of Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs).
The Thesis will be focused on synthesizing novel bulk and nanoscale MOFs and on developing novel methodologies to control their spatial organization (self-assembly) to generate high-level MOF-based superstructures with myriad applications, such as drug-delivery systems and gas adsorption. ), the candidate will acquire a great experience in organic, inorganic and supramolecular synthesis, nanotechnology, and biology as well as in working with a wide range of optical and electronic microscopies, basic spectroscopies, biological techniques, etc. The Thesis will be highly interdisciplinary, involving areas ranging from Nanotechnology, Chemistry to Biology and Medicine.

). The candidate must have good English skills. Having a Master in Chemistry, Materials Science or Nanotechnology will be highly regarded.
