Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in experimental physics to study the electronic properties of two dimensional gases on transition metal oxide surfaces. The experimental activity will be based on low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS), with possible extensions to angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES). Candidates must possess good command of oral and written English. Experience in one or more of the above-mentioned areas will be considered as an advantage.

The position will be initially assigned for one year with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of three years, beginning in January 2013 or later.
