The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an innovative centre for basic research created in December 2000 by initiative of the former Department of Universities, Research and Information Society (DURSI) of the Catalan Government.
The CRG is legally constituted as a non-profit foundation and has the participation from the Catalan Government through the Economy and Knowledge Department (DECO) and the Health Department (DS), as well as from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), and the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO).
The mission of the CRG is to promote excellent basic research in biomedicine, cutting-edge technology development and high quality training of the next generation of scientists.

Post Description: HR Generalist
We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Department.
Reporting to the Head of the HR Department, the main duties of this position will include:
  • Hr Management: From the support in the recruitment, going through the foreign affairs issues to personnel administration, controlling and payroll.
  • Support in the recruitment of the Administrative/staff area, reporting to the HR Manager.
  • Management and support to the HR development programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with the CRG scientific community, administration departments, and the Outsourcing Agencies supporting the HR Department with personnel administration and the development projects.
  • University Degree and a Human Resources Master’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in development HR projects.
  • Experience in payroll administration.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, Catalan and Spanish.
  • Strong IT skills (especially Excel). Experience with Oracle management system will be considered.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, flexible and problem-solving attitude.
  • Team player and ability to work on your own initiative with a minimum of supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in international and multicultural environments.
  • A proven ability to prioritise a varied workload and to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Work Conditions:
  • One year full-time contract position with a feasible option to extend to a full time permanent contract.
  • Competitive salary (incl. benefits) depending on qualifications and previous experience.
  • Starting date: During September 2012.
