Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position (Ref. JRG-2) to work in the research group of Prof. José Ramón Galán-Mascarós in the frame of an ERC Starting Grant for the project Building-up Chemical Complexity into Multifunctional Molecule-based Hybrid Materials (CHEMCOMP).
The project is essentially multidisciplinary, and it will cover the study of novel hybrid conducting materials with novel physical properties.
We are looking for strongly independent and motivated candidates with a complete PhD degree in Chemistry or equivalent and a proven track record in electrochemistry. The project will have a strong focus on electrodeposition of modified electrodes, organic conductors and coordination polymers, therefore, further experience in this field is welcome. The postdoctoral researcher is further expected to write progress reports and draft manuscripts for publication, and to oversee the training and development of junior group members.
Applicants should send their CV with a list of current publications, a cover letter motivating their interest in the position and the names and addresses of two referees.
The selected candidate is expected to start september 2012. The position is initially for 1 year and possibly extendable depending on performance. All the information relative to applicants will be treated confidentially. |
