In 2010, LFG wants to consolidate the areas of research, development and innovation and has created three divisions of action research: Applied, Management and Basic. So LFG is looking for two personnel to perform:
- Research on processing of nanostructured metallic materials for energy applications and its integration into devices
- Research on preparation and performance testing of nanomaterials with biomedical and environmental interest
In coordination with La Farga Group management, the role requires to define, implement and communicate the scientific strategy and direction of the particular research area, helping the team to understand and commit to the objectives.
The right candidate will carry out cutting edge research in laboratory facilities installed within the Research Park of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (PRUAB). The scientific and technological facilities of PRUAB will be made available together with support staff. It is expected to develop a close interaction and cooperation with the research centers and University Departments of PRUAB.
The selected candidate will foster innovation within the scope of the industrial interests of La Farga Group.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science.
- At least 2 years of experience in postdoctoral positions or equivalent R&D industrial experience in international environments.
- emonstrate a record of research excellence.
- Demonstrate a success in running collaborations with leading academic groups.
- Commitment to develop technology transfer activities to the industry.
- Ability to build productive cross-functional collaborations both with internal and external agents and teams is required.
- Leadership capabilities to develop an independent research group linked to the R&D environment of PRUAB.
- The candidate will have to manage scientific and financial resources, day to day management, escalating and reporting.
