
The Barcelona Centre for International Health Research (CRESIB) is a new global health research institute developed from some of the leading academic and biomedical research institutions in Barcelona, together with the Catalan Government, as a response to emerging international health challenges.
CRESIB was founded in July 2006 by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (HCB) and the Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS).
The centre is located in a privileged scientific environment, alongside the HCB, IDIBAPS and the Campus of the Facultat de Medicina-Clínic August Pi i Sunyer of the UB. CRESIB's scientific agenda includes the study of poverty-related diseases, emerging, reemerging and immuno-preventable diseases, health & migration, and health & climate. CRESIB promotes a multidisciplinary approach and excellence in research, and also collaborates with other research centres from developed and less-developed countries. JOB DESCRIPTION
Basic tasks:
• Statistical análisis of microarray data
• Development, implementation and validation of algorithms for intravital and magnetic resonance imaging
• Applying different algorithms in genetic /immunological networks based on “omics” data

Required qualifications:
• PHD in Mathematics, Statistics or Bioinformatics
